About Touri

Printmaker, papermaker, sculptor, graphic designer, ceramic and mixed media artist, Touri started her career in Interior Design with a degree from The Polytechnic of South Bank in London, England, and then worked internationally as a designer.  Later she earned an M.F.A. in Printmaking from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

At George Washington University, she completed Master’s thesis work on the integration of marbling and serigraphy, winning her the University’s Kreeger Award.  Since then, she has been the recipient of a number of other art and design awards, as well as a degree in Ceramics.

Touri lived most of her life in California where she worked as a Graphic Designer, Exhibition Designer, and Director of Visual Merchandising for many years. Later, living in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she pursued work in ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, papermaking and mixed media.  Now, based in Zionsville, Indiana, she continues to work in acrylic painting, collage, and mixed media. Her work reveals a primary interest in the cross-cultural expression of color, texture and form on various surfaces.

Touri’s work has been shown in group exhibitions in Washington, D.C.; San Francisco, CA; Los Alamos, Taos and Santa Fe, NM; and Fishers, IN and is held in private and public collections.
